The test: if you upload or connect your accounts and walk away, do categorized books exist when you come back? Rule suggestions you confirm one at a time are not AI bookkeeping. They are autocomplete.

- Digits ($65 to $250 a month): AI-native general ledger with agents, aimed at startups and firms. No free plan.
- Puzzle ($25 to $150 a month): startup accounting with Stripe revenue recognition and AI credits bundled. Best for venture-backed startups.
- Finta ($0 to $300 a month): usage-capped AI categorization for Delaware C corps.
- Jupid ($50 a month): bookkeeping plus tax filing and CPA review for freelancers.
- Wave Pro ($19 a month): rules-based auto-categorization on bank feeds; invoicing is the strength.
- Xero ($25 to $90 a month): bank rules and suggested matches inside a traditional ledger; you confirm each one.
